This Billion Dollar Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to come join their team! This is a long term contract position with potential for hire.

Primary scope of responsibilities is as follows:

Experience with systems, creating reports, and analyzing reports.Provide effective financial controls for the organization. Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls for all business processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements and GAAP. Manage and direct general ledger, inventory valuation, cost systems, fixed assets and payroll functions. Prepare and review monthly journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations. Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting. Work with department managers to develop the annual budget and forecasts. Will direct all cost accounting activities to include financial and SOX audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Will conduct internal audit program to test controls and will review excess and obsolete inventory reports and recommend appropriate reserves. Provide guidance to all departments to ensure that the business transactions are performed in a controlled, timely, and accurate manner. Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual or ad hoc reports for management, corporate, government or other reporting agencies.
