Job Title:Operational Risk ManagerLocation:CityScapeWhat you'll
do:The ERM Manager will work within the bank's second line of
defense and will be responsible for supporting, leading, and
enhancing enterprise risk management program functions such as
Issue Management, Risk Events, Operational Losses, Scenario
Analysis, Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), and Key Risk
Indicator (KRI). This role is part of the Enterprise and
Operational Risk Management Group (ERM/ORM) that is responsible for
developing, implementing, and operationalizing the bank's risk
management framework. ERM/ORM is a growing organization focused on
providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective
oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the company. The
organization plays a critical role in helping to inform bank
management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its
actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to
manage risk. The ERM Manager will effectively collaborate with
internal stakeholders and maintain strong partnerships.What we are
looking for: Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of the Bank's Operational Risk
Management (ORM) Framework.
- Review draft issue observations with all key stakeholders and
perform effective challenge on the appropriateness of the
management action plan prior to opening issue.
- Review issue closure packages and ensure management action plan
was closed appropriately.
- Enhance and implement the Operational Loss Program
- Monitor operational risk trends and provide analysis on loss
data and other operational risk metrics.
- Review and provide challenge on key risk indicator (KRI)
information.
- Assist with the implementation of the bank's new risk and
control taxonomy across key risk identification and assessment
tools (including RCSA, Issue Management, Event Management).
- Enhance and implement a Scenario Analysis program to examine
and develop estimates of the impact and likelihood of plausible low
likely-hood/high-impact operational loss events.
- Apply sound judgment in evaluating risks and controls;
effectively challenge first line of defense on the identification
and disposition of risks, and the adequacy of controls.
- Contribute to various enterprise risk management initiatives,
produce high quality deliverables including procedure documents,
reports, and presentations for all levels of management.
- Collaborate across work streams and support cross-functions for
ERM/ORM program enhancements. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in related field.
- 6+ years of direct, related experience - Risk Management,
Internal Audit, or internal controls.
- Ability to be flexible and manage various projects and
competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables and be able
to identify and implement process improvements.
- Knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit
operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other
commercial banking products and services.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance
obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and
practices.Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally
$152,137.00 - $187,934.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount
is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may
be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted
