Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Neuro ICU
setting. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of ICU
experience, including Level 1 trauma experience. EVD experience is
required. Travel experience of 3-6 months is preferred. Nurses will
be expected to complete competency assessments related to sterile
field maintenance. The hospital provides comprehensive care for
patients with neurological diagnoses. Common diagnoses include
patients requiring cranial surgeries, brain tumor removals,
ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries, and
scoliosis repairs. Nurses will be required to float between ICU
floors and tele health units as needed. Patient ratios will vary by
unit, with a maximum of 4:1 in tele units. The facility operates
with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. Candidates
must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Maintaining a calm environment while providing high-level care is
essential in this role. Strong assessment and monitoring skills are
critical for success. Nurses will be required to complete
educational sessions related to lifts, restraints, and wound care
as part of ongoing training. All candidates should be prepared to
