Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/22/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work a varied schedule on the Medical-Surgical unit • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with professional standards • Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs • Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on assessment data and patient needs • Provide direct patient care, coordinate care, and delegate/supervise healthcare team activities • Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in medical records • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care • Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans as needed • Provide patient and family education and evaluate teaching effectiveness • Participate in unit shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives • Must possess current, valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure • BLS certification required • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required • Recent acute care experience within past 12 months in specialty area required • Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical patient care activities • Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area Facility: This healthcare organization provides comprehensive medical services with a focus on excellence in patient care and outcomes.
