Human Resources Business Partner - The Heritage Tradition

In partnership with local leaders and other stakeholders including
the corporate office, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible
for overseeing all HR-related duties including auditing payroll,
workers compensation reporting, employee relations, and aligning
business objectives, and projects in their respective community.
The HRBP will formulate partnerships with department heads and
across the organization to deliver value-added services that
reflect the objectives of the community. The HRBP will roll up
his/her sleeves and think strategically about people
practices/topics that need savvy approaches and partner closely
with management to identify opportunities, strategies, and
solutions to challenges within the business and understand what
already exists to leverage and what can be created based on local
or functional needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
----- - Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to
stakeholders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development,
----- - Assures compliance with established SRG policies and
procedures and maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements
related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal
risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
----- - Regularly audit the eTime to ensure proper timekeeping
practices are occurring. Track vacation, sick time, including
overtime for the Flash Report.
----- - Process HR and payroll transactions timely. During payroll
processing, work with the corporate payroll team to ensure complete
accuracy of paychecks by following established processes including
the use of the Payroll Processing & Audit Form.
----- - Oversees onboarding of new employees including
pre-employment screenings as required by local, state, and federal
laws, all necessary paperwork, acknowledgments, and processing of
new hires in E-Verify.
----- - Maintains complete employee files, including but not
limited to job descriptions, performance evaluations, status
changes, and performance improvement plans.
----- - Handles complex employee relations issues and when
appropriate, conducts effective, thorough, and objective
----- - Creates and executes employee-centered initiatives that
support business needs and objectives to drive exceptional
individual and team performance.
----- - Identifies training needs and makes recommendations.
----- - Partners with stakeholders as needed/required including but
not limited to corporate HR, payroll, talent acquisition, workers
----- - Responsible for ordering employee uniforms, name tags,
business cards, etc.
----- - Reports resident and employee incidents and grievances
promptly to Executive Director.
----- - Demonstrates work habits that support the
organization--------s mission to create and maintain distinctive,
service-enriched housing environments for America--------s senior
population. Supports the community--------s programs to encourage
resident independence, well-being, and opportunity for personal
----- - In partnership with corporate worker compensation
administrator, track, report, and manage all claims, including
modified alternative duty, and OSHA logs, and accurately complete
all paperwork about work-related injuries.
----- - Member of the community safety committee and shares in the
responsibility for maintaining an environment that is conducive to
the safety, physical, and emotional well-being of residents,
potential residents, and employees.
----- - Demonstrates the ability to work as a team member in
sharing the responsibility for resident services to promote team
building and customer service.
----- - Promote and coordinate Synergy programs to support
continuous employee engagement.
----- - Must practice the highest standards of ethics, honesty,
integrity, and accuracy in representing the community, the
organization, management, employees, services, and facilities to
the public, its residents, and co-workers.
----- - Assists Executive Director with all management reports.
----- - Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions.
Participate in program and policy development in partnership with
appropriate stakeholders including corporate HR leadership.
----- - Performs other duties as assigned and travels including
overnight(s) if needed.
----- - Bachelor--------s degree preferred and a minimum of three
(3) years experience in Human Resources.
A combination of experience and education will be considered.
----- - Experience in senior living, restaurant, or hospitality
----- - PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP credential or ability to obtain
certification within one year of employment is strongly
----- - Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines,
