Job Summary
Provides security by foot, bicycle, or cart. Provides non-law
enforcement assistance to students, faculty, staff, and visitors at
Glendale Community College. Assist in the office as needed.
Supports the general MCCD Police mission. This position is
stationed at the GCC Main campus.
Essential Functions
Maintains order and security by foot patrol; provides a safe and
secure environment for all persons using the college facilities;
enforces rules and regulations pertaining to Glendale Community
College; unlocks/locks buildings and classrooms; provides first
aid; enforces parking regulations; responds to "service calls"
(emergency and non-emergency); takes various forms of
documentation; provides a variety of assistance to persons using
the college facilities. Position works with a diverse population of
administrators, faculty, staff, students and the public

Special Working Conditions
Successful candidate may be required to fill other vacant shifts as
needed. Position is limited to under 25 hours per week. Requires
standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires daily
exposure to the outdoor elements. May be required to lift objects
up to 50 lbs. Must possess a current, valid, and unrestricted State
of Arizona Class D Driver's License. Must meet Maricopa County
Community College District driving standards MCCCD - Administrative
Regulation - 4.14 Motor Vehicle Usage and MCCCD - Maricopa
Governance Online Policy Manual - 1.15 Travel (Special Attention to
section 1.15.5). Must successfully pass a comprehensive background
check. May be required to submit to periodic comprehensive
background checks.
