Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated folks to join our team in supporting students with disabilities within our school districts. In this role you will support licensed staff by assisting students with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and helping maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment. You will also provide functional and vocational curriculum support;including accompanying students on community outings when required;to help them gain the skills necessary for independent living.This role offers a competitive hourly rate between $18;$22 per hour, paid weekly. There is no requirement to work on weekends, and the position is scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm on a full-time basis.Responsibilities:

• Assisting licensed staff in the classroom
• Aid students in meeting their individualized education plan (IEP)
• Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Work with individuals and/or small groups when activities and assignments are presented
• Provide support for students in crisis
• Support students on outings by driving them into the community
• Utilize a variety of learning methods to enhance the student's learning experiences and support them as needed

    • 60 credits, Associates Degree, obtained a passing score on an appropriate ADE assessment, or ParaPro/Praxis Exam
    • IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Experience working with children
    • Applicants must have professional proficiency in English

      • Previous experience working in special education
      • Behavioral Technician or PCA experience
      • Crisis prevention (CPI) training
