Job Description:
Sonora Quest Laboratories, a leader in diagnostic healthcare in
Arizona, is seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Scientist I to join our
dynamic team. This role is pivotal in providing accurate laboratory
testing results, contributing to the diagnostics that aid in
precise treatment and patient care management. The successful
candidate will operate in a state-of-the-art facility, utilizing
cutting-edge technology to perform a variety of tests in compliance
with established standards and regulatory guidelines. Being part of
a joint venture between Banner Health and Quest Diagnostics, you
will be at the forefront of medical lab services, enhancing patient
outcomes through scientific expertise. Conduct chemical,
biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and
bacteriological tests. Analyze lab reports for accuracy,
participate in quality control and quality assurance measures.
Operate and maintain complex analytical instruments. Prepare
specimens and samples for analysis, adhering to correct procedures
to avoid contamination. Record data accurately and ensure
compliance with lab guidelines and regulations. Collaborate with
healthcare providers to deliver timely and accurate test results.
Engage in continuing education to keep up-to-date with the latest
industry developments and technologies. Proven expertise in
laboratory techniques and instrumentation, especially in molecular
diagnostics. Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in handling biological materials and operating
automated and semi-automated machines. Excellent attention to
detail and ability to work under pressure. Effective communication
skills, both written and verbal. Certification by the American
Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent is highly
desirable. Valid state license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist if
applicable.
