ManagerLocation:CityScapeWhat you'll do:Western Alliance is seeking
an ERM Program Manager that will work within the bank's second line
of defense and will be responsible for supporting, leading and
enhancing enterprise risk management program functions such as
Controls Testing, Issue Management and other Risk Management
functions.The successful candidate will be a motivated team player
who has expertise in risk and control management; a self-starter
who is accustomed to working in fast-paced, complex, evolving
organizations with diverse stakeholders; and an agile individual
who is able to withstand challenges and adapt quickly with an
execution mindset.What we are looking for: Responsibilities:
- Support leadership in the execution and enhancement of second
line of defense Enterprise and Operational Risk Programs, including
Controls Testing and Issue Management.
- Oversee and guide a team of risk professionals towards
achievement of the firms Risk Management goals within the areas of
Controls Testing and Issue Management.
- Champion a strong risk culture for the company via elevating
the risk knowledge base of associates and leaders by deploying risk
management best practices across the organization.
- Assist in the execution of the Bank's Operational Risk
Management (ORM) Framework.
- Contribute to various enterprise risk management initiatives,
produce high quality deliverables including procedure documents,
reports, and presentations for all levels of management.
- Collaborate across work streams and support cross-functions for
ERM/ORM program enhancements.
- Train, develop and grade performance of employees under their
hierarchy.
- A demonstrated history of Controls Testing along with Risk and
Control Self Assessments within areas such as information
technology, general banking operations including deposit
operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other
commercial and consumer banking products and services.
- Experience in write up and remediation of issues within an
established issue management framework.
- Self-motivated, self-directed and the proven ability to manage
a team of individuals to drive toward organizational goals and
deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of risk management principals and/or
regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and
problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate through complex
situations.
- Relevant industry and professional experience across one or
more of the three lines of defense.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and
external audiences.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer
Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Operations Management, Audit, Risk
Management, or related field
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables and be able
to identify and implement process improvements.
- Knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit
operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other
commercial banking products and services.
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance
obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and
practices.
- Ability to be flexible and manage various projects and
competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, oral and written, ability to
interact with all levels of management.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio skills.Benefits you'll
