Contract Surety Underwriter - Goodyear, AZ

Underwrite risks in a book of contract construction and corporate commercial surety bond business while developing and nurturing assigned agency and broker relationships.

*** Manage assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, and new business goals.

*** Review full range of financial information to determine acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards.

*** Utilize pricing components, rating methodology, and predictive modeling tools to price risk based on financial and competitive analysis.

*** Prepare and analyze information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status, and declinations to drive results within the assigned territory.

*** Develop agent and broker relationships to build pipeline, collect agency intelligence, and drive performance.

*** Drive relationship management and customer activities to build trust, facilitate negotiation, and secure commitment.

*** Develop and implement agent and broker specific plans, monitor performance, and adjust plan to ensure substantial pipeline for future profitable growth.

*** Identify cross sell opportunities and create growth within other lines of business and customer segments.
